NEVER startle a sleeping cat

Okay, this is a warning for all you out there who are owned by a furry feline friend. Don't ever startle them if they're asleep. Why??

Our house king was snoozing in the bedroom window, when I foolishly threw back the curtain and asked, "Hey, watcha doin, Fuzznuts?" Well his response was swift and painful. In the blink of an eye, he twisted around and swatted my face, claws and all. I now have a lovely black eye, with a nice scabbing cut right under my left eye. He of course was very apologetic, once he realized I was indeed not the huge dog next door set on having him for lunch. LOL

Oh well, lesson learned. Whenever, wherever the king doth decide to slumber is fine by me!!!!

How about one of my poems

Single White Rose

A single white rose lay on the floor,
bleeding it's fragrant juices on the carpet.
It's petals bent and bruised lay cradling the heart of the flower,
the way she had hoped he would be cradling her last night.
A single white candle stands in the holder,
extinguished now,
the wick burnt to the end.
A bottle of wine on the desk,
still unopened.
Two glasses unused and yet unusable,
shattered,
their crystal tears marring the wall.

This night ,
so long planned,
had held the promise of love in the future.
She had come so far,
to be given a note.

She held it still,
when they came to clean the room.
"Sweets,
I have had a change of heart.
I have to escape you.
It's been great.
Bye!"

On the table another note lay,
beside the pills and the half bottle of scotch.
"I gave up everything for this night.
I turned my back on my family and friends.
I gave away my heart and soul.
I have nothing left.
Goodbye."

A single white rose lay on the floor.

Let's give it a go

Okay, so I am the first to admit that this is new to me. I'm not saying that I can't talk the ear off a dead man, but to sit here and type in a message of some meaning to any and all who may want to learn something about the person behind the writing... now that is new. But, if you are willing to have a little patience, I will do my best to keep you all informed.

If there is anything in particular you want to know (nothing too personal, like my pant size, that is LOL) just ask.

For now, check out whatever else I have on this site and check back often for updates on my writing. I'll try to keep track of works in progress and upcoming releases through eXtasy Books.

Talk at you soon!
